Hi folks,
I am Suramyaa Sarkar from West Bengal, India, currently living in Norman, Oklahoma since August 2024. I'm deeply curious about the world and all that unfolds within it. My passions include cinema, philosophy, and poetry. I am pursuing a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.
I learned classical dance and painting for many years though I’ve lost touch with both over time, they still hold a special place in my heart. I’ve worked as a voice artist and acted in theatre, experiences that helped me explore creativity in different forms. I enjoy writing and have always had a love for fashion not the usual trends, but eccentric styles that stand out. I’ve also fostered many animals, and caring for them has been one of the most grounding parts of my life.
I've chosen to disconnect from social media to foster more meaningful real-life connections. I have a particular fondness for Iranian cinema for its authenticity and raw storytelling. I seek to connect with empathetic, thoughtful, and socially conscious individuals who value deep conversations and lifelong learning.
I hold special regard for others who have stepped away from social media. I view this as a quiet revolution against curated personas, superficial interactions, and what I call weaponized kindness. I value genuine connections over performative ones and seek friendships built on authenticity and mutual growth.
This space welcomes those working to heal from dysfunctional family systems and emotional neglect. Here, I'll explore modern psychology, philosophy, cinema, and art, weaving them together with my personal experiences and daily life. I'm an animal lover and cherish the time I spend with them. I love sunflowers and you would see a lot of them in my website.
Thank you for visiting my page. I'm truly grateful, and I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
